I've watched segments of a few mech suit piloting anime but I've never really found any better or worse than the others, despite that I always seem to get exhausted following the shallow storylines with generally decent emotion and battles but lacking in any realism in any way(I'm not saying it must be too real) but people always seem to do what was done in real life movies back in the day....act....everything feels like you're watching more of a performance and everyone knows a performance doesn't give a realistic vibe
