DIdn't see anyone else reply, so I will with over 25+ years development experience.
My best advice. Pick and language and an IDE. Honestly, doesn't matter. Java, c#, python, whatever. Come up with an idea of something that you what to develop that interest you. Something real and interesting to you. If it's not something you care about, it'll make it much harder. Now once you have something picked, just start. WIth each step, find youtube videos or programming sites to help. I believe struggling that way is much better than following a book that teachers you.
