Some sites for example use Xvid Autograph. I can probably supply someone with two (same) videos obtained from different accounts and IPs, but I don’t know if that’s sufficient. I believe the servers hold a master file, and once a unique user downloads or watches a file, that’s when identifiers are added
Ideally we could just re-encode, but I’m more of curious intellectually as to how this would be done losslessly. I honestly don’t even know what I would use the knowledge for, but my curiosity has been piqued.
Steganographic analysis has been mentioned, but that’s all over my head.
