Are Trojans supposed to be in cracks?

Hello,
I've seen quite a few cracks on here that have trojan virus which I checked with the website virustotal. Is there a specific reason it's has trojan or is it simply to steal my data?

Even clean cracks are often detected and announced malicious. Nevertheless, most cracks available for free are infected with clippers, keyloggers, RATs etc. Especially when downloading from torrents or cheap "leet haxxor" websites. I'd always run any crack on a sandbox or virtual machine before using it on my allday system ...
