This spring I got myself a Huawei Mate 10 Pro and just got the time to root it.
Turns out you need a passcode to unlock your bootloader, but they conveniently stopped giving them out last week. For reasons I guess.
So my advice to anybody wanting to root their phone or customize the firmware: Get something else.
