"Only in performance". I observe that ExpressvPN has a unique performance in latency and compared to other services. Even so, ExpressvPN has problems with bandwidth. Windscribe in its free version surprisingly it has very little latency difference or almost nothing in comparing with the latency of Expressvpn. In own conclusion, Windscribe is more efficient in matching the main bandwidth, and there is probably no significant difference in latency comparing With Expressvpn. About security, I would also give credits to Windscribe.
