Bulk WhatsApp number check

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for a reliable way to bulk-check whether phone numbers are registered on WhatsApp (reachable/active). Goal: lead classification to prioritize outreach.


Requirements/Context

• Volume: hundreds to thousands per batch
• Frequency: weekly (possibly daily)
• Cost: ideally free or as low as possible
• Interface: API/service (REST/webhook OK) with fast response
• I/O: send CSV/JSON with country code + number; get boolean (has WhatsApp: yes/no) and, if possible, minimal metadata (e.g., status)

Tried (not ideal)

• Manual checks in the app (not scalable)
• Unofficial bots/emulators (high ban risk)

Questions

• Is there any official API or BSP (Business Solution Provider) offering a number lookup/validity check without sending a message?
• Any bulk verification services you recommend (low cost per check, clear SLA)?
• Best practices to minimize cost/latency and avoid blocks?
• If WhatsApp Business Platform is required, what’s the simplest/cheapest path to validate existence before starting conversations?
