We've all come to know, in one way or another, that the crypto market is now moving literally $billions. What once was a kids playground... has now turned into a huge decentralized financial ecosystem... and where there's money, there's exploits & hacks!
Since 2019’s notorious DeFi Summer, crypto became a massive target for hackers with more than $300 million lost in hacks. Even more recently, Poly Network got hacked for about $600M, although most of the funds were returned to the protocol shortly after.
Meanwhile, Immunefi is becoming DeFi's leading bug bounty platform with $3m+ in bounties paid out and $31m in bounties available. TheGraph just launched a bounty with rewards up to $2.5m becoming the largest bug bounty in history.
Exciting times to be a white hat. On that note, about a month ago, a white hat at Immunefi landed a $800k bounty after discovering a critical bug. In comparison, PayPal bounties range from 1k to 3k.
What's your stance on crypto exploits, security and bug bounties? Has anyone here ever done anything on that front?
