I've read your post, and I see that there are flaws. I don't think this method will work for me. I've tried several times to recover data from my external drive. Perhaps 500GB of data is too much to recover?

I don't know what to think anymore. I found "data recovery wizard" on various sources. One site actually slipped me some fake with a bunch of viruses. I was very upset. There were a lot of working video files on the disc I lost, which I had to edit for a new project. I think

will be my last hope. Their website says that they restore any files and any drives. It suits me perfectly. In addition, they have a lot of positive reviews.
