I know the title has been beaten to death and sounds gay, but this is a question to the multicultural Cracking.org.

I'm a big horror film guy (I prefer Zombies, but open minded) and would like to know what the rest of the world likes?

I'm an American born German currently living in Germany so I get a pretty nice selection of horror movies from both countries, but I really like the 80's 90's horror.

So please post what you like no matter what country and I'll check it out.

----> I'm native English and a shameful German as I'd rank myself novice/veteran when it comes to speaking/reading the German language.

So, please post the language it's in and if I can get subs.

Thank you.

Good to see a well written thread here.

It would be easier if you list your favorite ones so I recommend you accordingly, but here's what I got for you:
Suspiria (1977)
Don't look now (1973)
They are both English language films, the first one is by an Italian director, the second has one of the best sex scenes in a movie. They are kinda cult films, so they might not suit your taste, but you never know.

The descent is the best horror i've seen.

I also really like roadkill (also called joyride) The collector is really good as well.

Some other horrors i've really enjoyed are - I spit on your grave (remake), The last house on the left (remake), The hills have eyes, Wrong turn, The Halloween movies, Nightmare on elm street (original but the remake wasn't too bad)

I'm really looking forward to seeing don't breathe, it looks so good and for a horror these days it's actually getting good reviews.
