Finding this system of ratios a bit weird

Hi,
I'm absolutely new to this forum.
I don't know much about cracking other than the fact that I need some accounts to maintain quality of life.

I have a fair idea of how sentry works but I needed a good guide. Found one here.
All posts need me to reply and I'm having serious trouble with this ratio system.
I know that it is needed to maintain quality. But I am a newbie. I have nothing to contribute on the forum as of now.
I would love to contribute when I have enough resources or knowledge.

Any suggestions on how to go about this ?
