From web design to coding ?

Hi guys !
I'm a web designer so I know my way around HTML and CSS and have some bases with JavaScript.

I'm very interested in becoming a developper so I'm looking for tips from people who know about coding (if you have some ) like what language I should learn first (I was thinking Python maybe?)

Any good website to start learning?

I think as you said, you know javascript so you can go on node.js and anything you want...
like mobile, web, server side...etc.
