Gift Card Auto Phone Checker?

So I've noticed most of these sellers on Paxful and Selly have ways of checking gift card balances automatically of algorithms to pull ones with balances. These are for ones that only allow gift card balance checking via phone. I've been lost on where to even start with this. I know you would use Skype for 1-800 numbers and have audio recording on so you can review the hits, but what software are they using to automate the process? Some information or insight would be great.
