how do you recognize a phishing email?

here you have some guidelines on how to recognize it, but if you have any extra you could mention it, if you know any tool to help you it would also be great

- obviously look at the domain and email name, many phishing emails have strange names
- the ip of the email, look for that it does not have reports
- the server where the email was sent from, if it is public or private
- the attachments, files or url, you can analyze both, there are many tools for this, or use a virtual machine to analyze it
- that the content, domain and attachments make sense, many times the domain has nothing to do with the content, this is because they use filtered emails and supplant them.
- spelling errors in the email text
- search in internet if the mail from where it is sent is an official mail of the company that claims to be, many times they mention it in their web page
- search on internet forums to see if you have received similar emails and if they ended up being phishing
