codeacademy.org, is this a good site to learn python?

Meh, it's alright. To be quite honest you're probably better off reading a book or two, writing some code and then look for answers on the internet if you run into some problems. Reading can only get you as far, I know many programmers that have entire PHDs in Computer Science but still can't write a simple program.
