The thing about netflix is that they buy copyrights of serieses/shows and add them to their website. I don't know if that happens twith hbo too but i prefer netflix either way because it's available in much more countries and every country has it's own library.

I would use both, netflix s's the D sometimes as there too slow to change rotation of content, HBO don't have as much content however the content they have is quality.
