Hey gang, I’m not going to pretend like I’m not just a super inexperienced script kiddie BUT I have the opportunity to get into the POS systems at a store soon and I want to know what I can do with that. It’s like a computer cash register that’s connected to a scanner and a card reader, not sure the exact terminology.
On the back of the register part are several usb ports, and I can easily stick a drive back there with no one noticing. My only problem is I’m completely lost on what I can do. The register doesn’t have the ability to function like a regular computer as far as I know, so I can’t just manually execute an exe like I had originally planned. Is there a way to get the USB to automatically execute a batch or exe when plugged in without it being one of those special ones that can trick PCs into allowing keystrokes? At the very least, I think I can use it as a keylogger, but since it doesn’t act like a normal computer idk if it would work like how I’m familiar with.
Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated, this is a golden opportunity I really don’t want to miss. And don’t worry, I can share the spoils with the community.
