Question about cracking

I'd like to ask about security in cracking. Do i have to use vpn while cracking, should i go to a public wifi while cracking? Or is it ok to crack while on home network?

Thanks for answering & which do you prefer or use the most? And as "rdp" you mean a service that offers me an ability to use other device through which i can use sentry?
