I just can't watch subbed anime at all I receive zero feels from it and it never seems like they're serious to me how do people watch subbed anime

definitely subbed.
not sure why but I can't seem to watch anime dubbed, just doesn't sound right lol makes my ears fold. but it's with other languages other than English too. I can't listen to anime in anything but Japanese.

it may be surprising but its the complete opposite for me. I legit can't stand listening to anime dubbed.

It totally depends on the dub. Japanese (of course) and Italian are the best dubbers. I totally prefer watching a subbed anime with original dubbing, they have a lot more pathos. I remember reading an interview with the Japanese dubber of Rufy the pirate, she said that when Rufy has his fingers in his nose, she does as well, as when he's speaking while eating, so does she. 
subbed anything that is in a language you don't know! Always!
