What is tidal?

The sound quality is more or less the same, Tidal premium should sound better but it depends on your instruments. You'd need a DAC with $500 headphones to notice the difference. Although Tidal is promising. They support videos and have featured songs and other stuff that Spotify doesn't have. I guess it highly depends on what type of music you listen too.

For now I choose Spotify because it's good quality, most of the stuff I listen too is there and today they will be added to the stock exchange which is exiting. Also Spotify is a stronger brand and have shown that they can get artists on there which was hard in the beginning (I remember only finding Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd cover bands in the early days) so I'll give them that + cheaper premium which is the top reason if you cannot get hold of a free lifetime/yearly premium account.

i've tried tidal and the interface was so awkward to use, i feel so lost.
then the hifi mode which is only available in the pc version.

another note: using the same app to share music between friends is essential, and... well, they never even heard of tidal.

spotify it is.

Personally Spotify is much simpler and easier to use with a much larger song base than Tidal.

Although, Tidal claims to pay the most to artists for their music, so it's a win win using either really, but if you want to support your artists, use Tidal! :)
