What can you do with just someone's IP?

Greetings and salutations.
I am new to this whole thing and have had a few successful runs with obtaining peoples IP addresses and scaring them with their general location and have 'social engineered' my way to a few good, and even some great results. But my question is: What is the maximum extent to which you can do to someone with only their IP?
Responses are appreciated.

Are you read it carefully?
You can scan on open ports and ddos it or try infect it by exploit, also after scanning. (But better use kali linux if u want try it with exploit.)
