"All of the above," would probably be the basic ol' boring answer for almost everyone I would think. Unless they're living under a rock, have a thing against social media, or due to something more interesting. Maybe I can add something interesting if it is found to be so. Um, maybe not.
The only reason I'm on social media these days is to help me remember what I've been up to, stay in contact with friends/family and advocate for rarely understood conditions, especially the invisible ones. I might have gone insane and died without it, literally. I diagnosed myself with a rare illness since doctors were of little help, although it took years of ruling things out; online unbiased research and reaching out to those actually suffering.
Then I was led to one of, if not the best, surgeon in the country to help fix it. Technically, I'm alive because of the internet. Then again maybe it's not all that impressive since it probably has impacted more lives than we know. Not that I'm attempting to impress, just adding something more to a conversation while simultaneously feeding my habit of typing way too much. Thank you, internet.
