What is there to fear? She clicked and went to the desired site. Nothing bad happened.

And so it happened. The trick about a hyperlink is that it can be hidden in anything. In a word, or even in a link. And this is just a terrible aid to social engineering and phishing.

Second. By following the link you give away all the information on your system. IP, operating system, sometimes even geolocation. Try the bit[.]ly service and see for yourself how much information it can collect from one link.

Third. This is a rental. You follow a link and are taken on a redirect train through a dozen resources before taking you to the destination resource. And at the same time, these ten resources will download ten Trojans for you via JavaScript. If you are not prepared for this, then this is a waste.

Should I make a shield? Of course, don't click on everything and at least look in the lower corners of the browser for the true link address. If you see a link shortener, definitely don't use it. Another option is to check the link through VirusTotal. There they will highlight all the dangerous resources for you and what they want to inject into you. Well, or open those links in virtual reality and see everything for yourself. For example, through Browserling.
