Implemented Can't access own posts when reached replylimit?

I totally agree (100%) with the limit on replies per day on certain sections.
What I do not understand is that when reaching this limit we can't access our own posts anymore?

So my suggestion (having no idea wether this is even possible):
Wouldn't it be a good idea to keep the reply limit, but still have access to the thread without the reply option?
